Helping Clients Improve Functioning
I’ve been working as a professional Occupational Therapist (OT) in the Miami area since 2006. Helping children, teens and adults achieve greater independence and overcome challenges through participation in activities is my passion. Contact me to find out more about what I offer.
Peggy Bamonte, MS, OTR/L
I enjoy working with children and caregivers to tackle all the challenges that come with having a disability or impairment. With a focus on personalized service, functional gains and family/caregiver education, I’m always working to support the client for their maximal potential.
I am board certified (since initial licensure) and my educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, both from Florida International University. I have worked with several client populations and individuals overcoming many challenges including autistic disorder, ADD/ADHD, intellectual disabilities, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and general developmental delays. I have experience working in home-based, clinic-based, school-based and group home settings with a wide range of difficulties that arise from the complications of having a disability including, performance of daily life skills, academic performance, joint limitations, eating and feeding, social skills, and executive functioning, to name a few.
